How it works

Connect Planning Center
In Settings → Integrations, sign in with Planning Center. MinistryAlign requests read access to your People.

Import the people you want
Pick a list, a household, or your full roster. Imported people become pending members in MinistryAlign — no seat is used until they accept.

Send invites and start matching
Send invites in batches. As members complete their profile, leaders see ranked recommendations for open ministry roles based on gifts, DISC, and passions.
What it does not do (yet)
We'd rather tell you what's real than oversell. Ask us about anything on this list — several are on the near-term roadmap.

Questions we hear
What does the Planning Center integration do today?
You connect your Planning Center account with OAuth, choose which people to import, and MinistryAlign creates member records you can invite by email. Once they accept, their assessments (passions, spiritual gifts, DISC) live in their MinistryAlign profile and roll up into leader matching + church health.
Does MinistryAlign write anything back into Planning Center?
Not yet. Today the sync is one-way — Planning Center is the source of truth for the person record; MinistryAlign adds the ministry-fit layer on top. Two-way sync (roles, teams) is on the roadmap; tell us what you'd want written back.
Do I need Planning Center to use MinistryAlign?
No. Churches use MinistryAlign without any ChMS. Planning Center just saves you from hand-adding a roster.
Is this an official Planning Center partnership?
MinistryAlign works with Planning Center through their public API. We're not claiming an official partnership badge — just a working integration your church can turn on.
How long does setup take?
About 10 minutes: connect the OAuth app, pick who to import, send the first invite batch. Members take 12–15 minutes to complete their profile.
